Nick is the eldest of Elana’s two younger brothers. The unspoken bond between their relationship is their common interest in engineering and cars. At some point Nick will come to the realization that American muscle is better than European imports and thank Ryan for such knowledge. Nick has been an important part of Elana’s life with their close age and will find himself similarly important in Ryan and Elana’s lives together.

Nick is the best man. Ryan and Nick have known one another since birth as their families were neighbors and they were born one day apart. From a young age they found themselves to be best friends, being forced (by their mothers) to dress in the same outfits on vacations and spending many family weekends together. Nick learned at any early age that sitting next to Ryan during meals was a great idea, as food mysteriously appeared on his plate throughout a meal. Beyond their antics of tree forts and bike riding throughout the neighborhood, Nick quickly became a brother to Ryan, even through distance today. 

Charlie is one of the groomsmen for the wedding. He has become a part of the family through his marriage to Ryan’s sister, Amanda. Lucky for him, this has been a project in the making between his twin brother Chris (who Ryan went to college with) and Ryan, to become “brothers”. Although this was destiny, through the works of Chris and Ryan, Charlie has found himself a big part of the Meller family and a great friend to Ryan.

LUKE PETRO

Luke is the youngest of Elana’s brothers. He and Ryan have formed a close relationship through their shared bond of annoying Elana in any way possible, at all times, while teaming up in doing so. If they aren’t plotting their next move, they’re playing games or hanging out with Bailey. Although he hasn’t been fully converted, Luke is on his way to realizing that Android phones are far superior to the lesser iPhones he has been exposed to.

CHRIS ABEL - USHER

Chris has been one of Ryan’s closest friends since they played volleyball together in college. It’s quiet often that Chris’s wife, Jen, is bewildered with jealously that her relationship with Chris hasn’t been as picture perfect as his with Ryan. Although their plan to officially become family has succeeded, they always found themselves to be brothers.

ADAM WIGHTMAN - USHER

Adam and Ryan became friends when Adam moved to Eden, NY in 5th grade. From a young age they found themselves close friends with their similar interest in sports. Throughout school and into college their friendship continued on the courts. Having lived together numerous times they have formed a close bond which endures through distance. 

BEN SAMPLES -USHER

Ben and Ryan met when Ryan moved to Pennsylvania. As with many friendships, this one started on the volleyball courts. They share interests in not only volleyball but outdoor activities, and most importantly food. If they aren’t on the volleyball courts they’re most likely eating or cooking out. Another bond to their friendship is Ryan’s admiration for Ben’s flawless beard.
